It reminds me almost of the Soul Robber from the cult classic game The Nightmare Before Christmas: Oogie's Revenge.  The controls are hard to pick up, but the story is decent and there is plenty of chances to interact with your favorite denizens of Halloween Town in town and the surrounding areas.
